What is Ubuntu? Ubuntu is an Open Source Operating System which can be used in stead of Microsoft Windows.

What does it cost? Nothing – it’s free and you can copy as much as you like. You download the CD image from the Internet (about 700MB) and burn your own bootable CD images. If you sell your CD’s, it may ONLY cover the production costs of the CD.

Nice features with this edition:

· GnomeSword Bible Study Software

· Dansguardian Web Content Parental Controls with graphical interface

· GnuCash Financial Management Software

· OpenOffice (Microsoft Office Replacement – fully supports MS Office Document Formats)

· Firefox Web Browser

· Daily Bible Verse Feature

In total, Ubuntu has almost 4000 applications available – all Open Source and free of charge. Some are included on the CD, but most of the software can be downloaded from the Internet.

You can run all your desktop computer needs without paying expensive license fees to Microsoft J
